A new fishing crew member of the popular TV show “Deadliest Catch” was found dead in a motel room in Alaska, the police reported on Wednesday.
‘Deadliest Catch’ is a Discovery channel reality series. One of its ships called Time Bandit, where Justin Tennison had worked, films the crab fishing industry in the treacherous waters off Alaska.
Authorities said Tennison was found dead in Homer on Tuesday afternoon. Lt. Randy Rosencrans, a Homer officer, said they discovered beer, hard liquor and small quantity of marijuana inside the room.
Two rooms were listed under the name of Tennison and guests staying near the rooms had complained about loud noise. Police supposed a party was being held Monday night in the motel room.
Discovery spokesman Josh Weinberg said Tennison’s posthumous debut will be on the series’ upcoming season that is scheduled to start in April. A statement posted on the official website of Time Bandit said that Justin was tough as a bull and was an all-around good hand.
Weinberg released a statement that says Discovery was disheartened by the news. They are sending their sympathies to his family, as well as his fellow crew members during these tough times.
On Wednesday afternoon, the cause of Tennison’s death was still unknown. Rosencrans informed that foul play is not suspected. Later Wednesday, an autopsy was performed by the state medical examiner’s office.
Tennison’s death comes more than a year after the “Deadliest Catch” fishing vessel Cornelia Marie Captain Phil Harries died of a massive stroke at the age of 53.

CBS and Warner Bros. decided to end the production of Charlie Sheen’s high-rated TV sitcom “Two and a Half Men” this season. The decision was reached in the stir of a provocative radio interview with the male actor.
The companies gave a joint statement on Thursday saying they concluded based on Charlie Sheen’s conduct, statements and condition as a whole. But, it did not mention any future plans concerning the show.
The production of the TV Show was previously suspended in January to give time for Sheen’s rehabilitation. Earlier Thursday, Sheen and Warner’s publicist Stan Rosenfield said the sitcom will continue taping with the actor next week.
However, that was before Charlie Sheen spoke, often, with hurtful words during his interview with radio host Alex Jones. In the interview, the 45-year-old actor ridiculed Chuck Lorre, the producer of “Two and a Half Men.” He also targeted other people, including the help-group Alcoholics Anonymous.
The sudden decision to stop making additional episodes on the profitable TV series came after the lead actor’s increasingly erratic behavior. This included the earlier interview where he claimed he had asked to go back to work but was prohibited by producers.
He frequently brought up violent ideas and images in his radio interview with Alex Jones. Also, he mocked Lorre in an attack that suggests anti-Semitism. Lorre is a veteran producer. His hits include “Cybill,” “Dharma & Greg,” as well as “The Big Bang Theory.”
Sheen’s divorce petition against ex-wife Brooke Mueller was recently approved by a Los Angeles judge. However, they are not officially separated until May 2.

The court order that had prohibited Chris Brown from getting close to Rihanna has been lifted as of Tuesday. It was two years ago when a restraining order was filed against the R&B singer after he had a domestic violence occurance with his ex-girlfriend just before the 2009 Grammy Awards.
Judge Patricia Schnegg from Los Angeles Superior Court lowered the restraining order which stated that Chris Brown must stay away from Rihanna for about 50 yards, or 10 yards only during events in the entertainment industry.
On Tuesday, Judge Schnegg replaced it with a level one order. This is a less stern order that allows Brown to come closer to Rihanna, but with certain conditions.
Brown is allowed to speak to the female artist and songwriter, but he is prohibited to harass or annoy Rihanna. Judge Schnegg said she is approving the order. However, she told Brown that he cannot annoy, harass or even put Rihanna under his surveillance.
Although Rihanna was not in court when the order was lifted, her lawyer said that the “Umbrella” and “Rude Boy” singer did agreed to the change.
The 21-year old male artists did not attend the brief hearing held on Tuesday. In 2009, he pleaded guilty beating Rihanna on the night before the Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles. He was punished with five years probation, including a community service. He just completed a domestic violence course that lasted for a year.
Last week, Brown did not attend the Grammy Awards even though he was nominated with three awards. Rihanna, who performed during the show, had four nominations, but failed to win any of them.

Justin Bieber becomes the most recent celebrity to get his wax statue at Madame Tussauds wax museum. The announcement was made Tuesday just one day after the teen pop idol tweeted he had a new hairstyle.
The 16-year old Canadian will debut his wax figure this coming March in four Madame Tussauds branches namely, Amsterdam, London and New York.
Bieber said that it is incredibly exciting and cool to be immortalized in wax along with some of his idols such as Prince, Beyonce, Michael Jackson, and most especially his mentor, Usher.
In London, Madame Tussauds is a main tourist attraction that displays many waxworks of royal and historical figures, including film and sports stars. Before Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga had been the most recent wax sculpture located in most Madame Tussauds branches.
The young pop-star, who is as famous for his bowl haircut as his expressive voice, said on Monday through the social networking site Twitter that he just got a new hairstyle and would bring all the cut hair for an auction to charity.
The singer’s stylist posted a picture of Bieber’s new hairstyle which then brought many Bieber fans to react on Twitter. Bieber explained that he wanted to change it in order for him to look more mature.
Bieber was discovered by Scooter Braun through the video-sharing site, YouTube in 2008. Later on, he met Usher who became his partner under the Island Record management. He was the first person to put seven songs from a single album in the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

President Obama announced last Tuesday that there is a book being created about the ten letters sent to him every day by his fellow Americans.
Obama has been accepting several letters in his office each day from the thousands that were sorted out by the White House Correspondence Office. Those letters come from regular Americans who want to share their feelings and insights about the country’s recent status, including social and personal issues.
According to Aides, the President reads the letters to keep in touch with everyday people outside of politics. He calls his life in the White House as the “bubble life” since it is rather isolated to the outside world. Through those letters, America’s plea and problems are bridged to the President.
During a press conference held on Tuesday, Obama was asked if he feels the pain that other people have experienced when the economic crisis hit United States and programs on social services were cutback.
Obama informed through a news conference aired around the world that a book is being written about the ten letters he receives every day. He said the people that will work on the book came by to discuss it with him a day ago.
Obama said that he is inspired by the resilience and strength of the American people. However, he is also sometimes frustrated that many people are struggling, and that he wants to help them individually.
According to the White House spokesman, a Washington Post reporter named Eli Saslow will be the responsible for creating the book.

A Los Angeles judge granted Charlie Sheen and wife a divorce last Thursday. However, they still have to wait three months until it becomes official.
Charlie Sheen and Brooke Sheen both filed divorce petitions in court last November 2010. They stated December 25, 2009 the day they broke up, which was the date Charlie Sheen was detained in Colorado because of alleged domestic violence against his wife.
Judge Hank Goldberg used Charlie Sheen’s petition in court. He approved Sheen’s divorce petition against his wife. However, since divorces in California can only become legal once six months have passed, the former couples still have to wait until May 2 for them to become legally separated.
Before their wedding in May 2008, the Sheens made a prenuptial agreement that required Charlie Sheen to compensate Brooke Sheen an amount in excess of $750,000. Court record shows the actor will keep their home in Hollywood Hills, but other royalties will be divided to both parties.
Legal custody of their twin sons will be shared. Brooke Sheen has been granted with physical custody while considerable visitation time is given for the actor. Charlie Sheen is obliged to pay $55,000 per month for child support based on the agreement filed in court.
The verdict comes after several chaotic months for the actor. His show “Two and a Half Men” was postponed while he received treatment for conditions not specified. He has been admitted in the hospital three times in the past months.
The actor has expressed gratitude to his fans and employers for their continued support. He is hoping to begin taping “Men” later this month, his spokesman said.

It seems that Fox has pulled off something even more outstanding with the premiere of a new romantic comedy sitcom entitled “Traffic Light.” The concept was gathered from Israel because it is both funny and significantly realistic.
Although many people expect romantic comedies to appear good only on paper, the new sitcom presents two couples and a single guy in a way that is entirely believable.
“Traffic Light” premieres on Tuesday. It shows the couple-banter and the friend-banter stunningly relatable and in an immensely funny way. Yet, it has been able to mine comic gold out of everyday struggles in the same way as “Modern Family.”
The sitcom shows the life of three best friends, now in their 30s, but in different stages of their lives. The friends have jobs, a baby, wives or a live-in girlfriend and many more. They spare time for one another by talking while driving. Although it appears awkward in the beginning, it works soon after and brings the laughs.
The cast all look like regular people someone might see outside Los Angeles. Mike, played by “The Office’s” David Denman and Lisa, played by Liza Lapira are married with a toddler. Adam, which is played by Nelson Franklin, just moved in with Callie, which is played by Aya Cash. Ethan, played by Kris Marshall, is the happy bachelor.
At times, “Light” feels like a combination of “How I Met Your Mother” and “The League” with some doses of “Men of a Certain Age.” As a generic romantic comedy, it is considered quite the accomplishment to be able to play funny and believable sitcom.

Grammy-winning alternative rock duo The White Stripes officially declared their break up on Wednesday, quoting a “myriad of reasons” they do not want to reveal and informing they want to “preserve what is beautiful and special about the band.”
A statement posted on the band’s website said that The White Stripes has officially ended February 2, 2011 and will make no more new recordings or perform live.
The White Stripes consisted of songwriter and vocalist Jack White and his ex-wife and drummer Meg White. The band, influenced by raw, punk and blues, was formed in 1997 in Detroit. They became popular after their self-title, debut album.
Released on July 3, 2001, their third album “White Blood Cells” proved to be a success on both fans and critics. The album helped the alternative pair to become recognized as the leaders in the restoration of garage rock along with the Strokes and others.
The White Stripes’ triumph and fame continued to develop throughout 2000s with their albums “Get behind Me Satan” and “Icky Thump” in 2007. But, Jack White started to embark on solo careers and as a producer over the years. He also created two other bands namely, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.
The band’s statement said the reason is not due to artistic differences or lack of desire to continue, nor any issues on health since both Jack and Meg are feeling fine and in good health. It said the pair both hope fans to view their decision “as a positive move done out of respect for the art and music the band has created.”

Miranda Lambert declared 2010 the best year of her life. With seven nominations in the Academy of Country Music Awards, 2011 doesn’t look so bad either.
Lambert received her first ACM entertainer of the year nomination on Tuesday morning as she and Ronnie Dunn announced the nominees at The Country Music Hall of Fame Museum.
The American country music artist will also defend her 2010 top female vocalist win, along with her nominations for song and single of the year. Kenny and Zac Brown Band were next to Lambert with five nominations each.
Lambert started her flaming line up last year at the ACMs with three wins that included album of the year for the celebrated “Revolution.”
After she got engaged to Blake Shelton and launched her first large tour, Lambert received a record of nine nominations at the rival Country Music Association Awards and headed to win three.
Her 2011 is expected to be full of events as well. She will get her two Grammy Awards in 13 days. Also, nominated in the said event is her song “The House That Built Me.” Later this spring, she is scheduled to marry Shelton. Currently, she’s creating songs for her vastly anticipated succeeding album.
Joining Lambert in the entertainer of the year are Brad Paisley, Jason Adean, Keith Urban, Toby Keith and Taylor Swift. Carrie Underwood, a two-time reigning entertainer of the year, was surprisingly not nominated after she became the first woman to ever win several trophies in that category.
Along with the top new artist, entertainer of the year is one of the two awards that are decided by fans. Fans can cast their votes for this year’s winner during the third hour of the show, which will air live April 3 on CBS from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The remaining members of Paramore are eager to close out what has been a very challenging chapter in the history of the band on a high note as Grammy winners.
The American rock band is nominated for the best pop performance made by a pair or group with vocals for the song “The Only Exception.” The nomination was given after two of Paramore’s founding members left the band late last year.
The rest of the Tennessee-based band is staying optimistic, lead singer Hayley Williams said. In her recent interview at The Associated Press, she said that losing members is not fun to go through, but she thinks they now really feel unified.
The split up was less than harmonious. The official statement of the band said that brothers Josh and Zac Farro had been planning to quit for several months and had appeared unhappy with the band for the past year. But eventually, the band wished them well and hoped that they would find happiness somewhere else.
The brothers replied to the statement with a scornful blog post, mainly blaming Williams for separating the band.
Despite the division, lead singer William, bassist Jeremy Davis and guitarist Taylor York still have big plans for the future of the band. They will be touring South America starting February 16 in Brazil.
They have cleared their schedules after their tour and will concentrate on creating new music. Williams said they have always wanted to do an EP while their fans want them to do acoustic stuff.
The Grammy nomination signals a turning point for the band in several ways. What makes it so cool this year is the fact that they are nominated for a pop category, Williams said.
Separately, Williams is nominated for the best pop collaboration with vocals when she sang the popular song “Airplanes” with B.o.B and Eminem.
