The high way borders of New York beaches has become a disposal site for a possible serial killer, and might become the dumping ground of other killers too. To date, 10 bodies have already been found in the area and cops are saying that those people may not have been killed by the same person.
More bones were seen in Long Island beaches Monday and samples were already sent to the examiner’s office. There, they will determine whether or not the bones are from the same person or from more than one people.
Investigators, as well as Edward Mangano (Nassau County Executive), earlier said that a serial killer is responsible for all the bodies and/or bones found in Long Island’s popular public beaches. Now, however, the cops said that they cannot ultimately rule out the possibility of linking the bodies to more than one totally unrelated killing.
Authorities mentioned that they are currently probing any differences on how the murder was performed, body disposal or burial, and even DNA evidence. FBI agents and state police are jumping in the investigation; along with profiling experts and behavior science investigators.
After rigorous DNA testing, the persons behind the identified bodies seem to be from very different backgrounds. The first body found is of a prostitute who was advertised on Craiglist. One other body that was found in almost the same area also belongs to a sex worker who reportedly advertised on Craiglist too.
The succeeding corpses did not have anything to do with the two sex workers. One was a toddler, others were a mix of teens and adults of different sexes.
